Please note that as an internet based business we try to discourage submissions by post. This is mainly done for two reasons:
To save you, the writer, time and money. As writers ourselves we know only too well the cost of printing countless submissions for editors, publishers, and agents. We try to save you the cost of ink, paper, and postage by accepting online submissions as often as possible. Considering that when editing and doing critiques we correct directly onto the document, it also seems a waste of the writer's paper and time having to re-type and re-print each submission.
To save the trees! Here at The Writers Desk we try to encourage the use of email for submissions as much as possible. We are aware that the majority of publishers and agents still only accept postal submissions, and this naturally causes a lot of waste paper, envelopes, and postage. We would like to think that we are helping to reduce that...even if only slightly!
